Following in the footsteps of sports rival Adidas, New Balance US company introduced its first running shoe printed on 3D-printer. Footwear was created in cooperation with the manufacturer of 3D Systems, which known issue the appropriate equipment and accessories. In sneakers only printed sole,created from a specially developed elastomer powder. As stated by New Balance, the resulting material has a unique “optimal” balance of flexibility, durability, strength and weight – all this, in theory, makes the shoes comfortable for runners. While the manufacturer presented a prototype of shoes, and their demonstration will be held in January 2016. The start of sales is scheduled for April next year. Unfortunately, the cost of running shoes is not made public.
