Water Collection for Urban Gardening
By 2030, scientists predict a big shortage of water. We won’t have enough and “luxury” activities like private gardening and greeneries will become unaffordable for the average citizen. So how could we use natural resources to sustain urban gardening in 2030?
Aero is a water humidity harvester created for urban gardening communities. With innovative technology it absorbs water molecules passively with polymer coated cotton membranes. Twisting motions are applied to harvest up to 200L of water per day to be shared. The cotton with PNIPAAm can store water up to 350% of its weight.

AERO is designed to connect to smart-dosing feeders, it’ll automatically deliver the perfect amount of water to plants. This water harvester allows you to create individual watering plans and be aware of how much water is available, avoiding any water waste. Featuring magnetic hose connection system, it ensures easy and secured watering, even when you are away on holiday, other community members won’t be able to accidentally detach your watering hose. Aero is innovative and relevant as by 2030, 4 billion people are estimated to live in high stress water areas and the world to be 40% short of water.
