HTC is seeking a new leader for its smartphone division. If they were to break away from the traditional smartphone designs and try something completely new, it may look something like the HTC TE17.
Designed by Hasan Kaymak HTC TE17 is a concept phone which attempts to create a new design format and be an iPhone X rival.
German designer, who has a passion for smooth forms, showed his new work – the concept of the smartphone HTC TE17. The device is offered to be equipped with a 5.7-inch OLED-based screen. The device’s screen also functions as a scale, thanks to increased sensitivity. It can weigh objects, even a small as a penny. The author does not say anything about the other features. In principle, in this case we are talking about experiments with form, and not with “stuffing.”
The weakest side of the concept can be called its display almost oval shape, which is unlikely to be realized with the help of generally available technologies. Certain issues are caused by the rear elevated panel of the invented mobile phone, and the game of shadows does not allow to understand – the display is outwardly bent or it is just a reflection.
