The company Nokia has demonstrated the “smart” jacket for special services. Over the novelty CHASE LifeTech FR, the firm worked together with GINA, which developed software, and the South Korean brand Kolon. She is intended for police officers, rescue workers, etc.
Unlike the classical special form, the CHASE LifeTech FR model has two purposes: a jacket can be used as a normal wardrobe item and as a smart system with a set of auxiliary sensors that will allow the controller to track the heart rate of the jacket owner, his body temperature, and also fix the GPS- coordinates of its location. The location of the modules is the area around the sleeves and a chest.
In the sleeve can be placed, for example, a smoke detector of the room, which is especially important for firefighters. The module, equipped with a sensor for determining the oxygen content in the blood, will allow monitoring in real time the condition of people working in difficult or emergency conditions.
All received data is transmitted in real time to the base station, where it is subsequently processed by the software complex written by Gina. The software allows for continuous monitoring of the actions and health status of the user of the smart jacket, signaling in case of danger to the operator. The CHASE LifeTech FR jacket is not afraid of cleaning and washing, as the system components can be extracted from clothes. The cost of CHASE LifeTech FR was not announced, at present the developers are looking for customers.
